Things That Make Me Happy Today

vintage bling

This week is a traveling week for us. We will leave the green hills of Texas and head to the Frozen Tundra. The kids and I have been here for the past 3.5 weeks on our own, while my love has been working up north. It was too cold to take the RV that direction but it's a tad warmer, like 30 degrees now. I pick him up tomorrow at the airport and after much making out in the airport he will drive us 1300 miles in 4 days.

It will be rough to leave here. We've been here since early December. Three months is a long time for my gypsy soul to be in one place. I am excited for the next chapter and to see family and familiar things again. But it will be hard to leave the love that is Hill Shade and my girl Christine. There will be much weeping and gnashing of teeth on the day we drive up the hill.

In the meantime here are some things that are inspiring me and bringing my nuggets of joy in amidst the chaos.

*I love Danielle and have been reading her stuff for years. This post is a couple years old but worth reading if you missed it

Tara, seems to channel my brain and her post yesterday made me weep.

Pinterest is a new love and time suck. Don't say I didn't warn you.

In my Visionary Mom team we use the term "holding a space" for each other and I love how this author describes what that means.

And for a little fun. The kids and I have been watching Idol again this season and I have a new love for J Lo. Don't judge me. I love her new song, it's great for dancing to. You know, if you're the dancing type.

  1. So happy you will be back with Dan but I'm already crying that you're leaving Christine. Dang it. Knowing you will be back comforts me. Hoping y'all come in the direction of GA would make me very happy too.

Am getting stuff to make hoops today. Assembly tomorrow. Excited about that too. Will think of you while hooping. xoxoxox

  4. Too funny...I just blogged about Pinterest and published it before I even came over here. :)

    Love those necklaces.

Sad for you to leave. Hillshade was the longest we stayed in one spot as well.

Thinking of creating a Visionary Mom team of a bunch of my friends.

My midwife Cosette is always using the term "holding space"...it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

And OMG. I love JLo too.

And I love you. And I love it when you blog more. So blog more...ok? :)

Sending prayers up for safe travels. xxoo
